Maison de Parfum Berry : An Olfactory Journey Through Normandy If Normandy were told to me... in perfume. Born in the heart of Normandy, Maison de Parfum Berry reinterprets the region's heritage and culture, unveiling fragrant secrets that time has not erased. Each place, each stone, each heroine, each character, each work of art, and each flower becomes a source of inspiration, transformed into an elixir ready to bewitch us. This independent, artisanal Norman perfume house creates enchanting, symbolic, unique, and precious fragrances, each an olfactory journey through Normandy. Cecile Vialla, the founder, believes that immersing oneself in the atmosphere of a place or a character allows one to discover the diversity of our heritage and the richness of our craftsmanship. This philosophy gave birth to her first perfume, "Eblouissants Reflets", created in 2013 as a tribute to the exhibition of the same name at the Musee des Beaux-Arts de Rouen, part of the Normandie Impressionnist Festival. Deeply rooted in its Norman terroir, Maison de Parfum Berry opens up to the world and encourages young talents. The Collection Les Signatures showcases international perfumers, offering a new perspective on perfume creation. Born from the very spirit of Normandy: Maison de Parfum Berry embodies its creations' essence - deeply rooted in their territory with an artistic touch that blends history, culture, and local heritage. Each fragrance whispers stories of Norman literature and culture, honoring the art of perfumery while utilizing local resources responsibly. Through ethical and sustainable practices, the perfumes are primarily crafted with the contributions of Norman artisans. With her team, Cecile developed the innovative "Olfactif ID" concept, capturing the essence of places and plants like Norman linen. They meticulously reconstruct these olfactory echoes to create irreplaceable perfumes. For their flagship fragrance, "Cathedrale de Rouen," the Olfactif ID concept was employed. In collaboration with the SMS Laboratory of the University of Chemistry of Rouen, they analyzed samples from the cathedral to identify the unique odorant molecules composing its olfactory signature.
